The Magic Flute

I went with Christian to watch Die Zauberflote (The Magic Flute) at the Metropolitan Opera today. We got tickets from Stern at 5 dollars... and oh my, I feel so lucky because this is probably the only time I'll be watching an opera there. The opera house was so grand... and the entire thing was so impressive- the singing, the orchestra, and especially the stage set-up and props. Even if I did not know any German and there were no subtitles, or even if I didn't like classical music or operas at all... I think just staring at the amazing set and listening to the soprano would have been good enough!
